Nifty shoots up by 0.5 per cent on Monday

Mumbai: The Nifty is up 0.5 per cent and is approaching record highs. The broader index is heading towards its fifth consecutive session of gains. Blue-chips gain: ICICI Bank is up 1.7 per cent while Tata Motors gains 2.85 per cent.
Asia shares up but gains limited as Ukraine sours mood. Overseas investors bought shares worth 6.25 billion rupees ($102.86 million) on Thursday, provisional exchange data shows.
