Festival is celebrated with lot of fervour, by painting rangoli, making delicacies
Chennai: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa on Saturday greeted people on the occasion of Krishna Jayanthi, which will be celebrated on Sunday.
In an official statement, she said that the festival is celebrated with lot of fervour, by painting rangoli, making delicacies believed to be the favourite of Lord Krishna besides serving butter and dressing up little children like him.
Citing from Bhagavad Gita, she said Lord Krishna preached that one could achieve success if he takes up his endeavours without any expectations, and called on one and all to uphold Dharma.
