Manish Sisodia unfurls flag upside down on Independence Day
New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party leader Manish Sisodia on Friday hoisted the Indian tricolour upside down during Independence Day celebrations at a park in New Delhi.
The flag was placed in such a direction that, when hoisted, it unfurled upside down.
Mr Sisodia clarified, saying that the flag was tied by the organisers in such a manner that it opened in the wrong way and added that it should not be made a political issue. “Hoisted flag in 20 places, it was upside down at one place. It was the mistake of the organisers. I scolded them instantly,” Mr Sisodia tweeted later.
