There are around 215 liquor shops in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Greater Hyderabad city may earn the title ‘Boozes’ Hub’ as it has around 69 additional liquor shops now compared to last year. The excise department managed to sell liquor license to traders and brought down the unsold figure to 106 from 175. At present there are over 180 liquor outlets in the twin cities apart from 220 bars that sell liquor.
Of the 2,216 liquor shops notified in the 10 districts of Telangana, 215 are in Hyderabad. It brought the government an additional Rs 30 crore.
