Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir: The Kashmir unit of BJP, on Friday, celebrated Independence Day at its headquarters in the state, but hoisted the national flag upside down, a "mistake" the party soon regretted.
BJP workers led by spokesman Khalid Jehangir hoisted the tricolour at the Rajbagh office of the party.
However, the flag was hoisted with the green strip on the top, instead of the saffron strip.
"It was a mistake that should not have taken place. The party has taken note of the matter," Jehangir told PTI after the function, adding that it was being looked into.
