Bengaluru sculptor, Shreeji Bhaskaran is making the life-size statue of Wadiyar
Mysore: Mysoreans, who will miss seeing their last maharaja, Srikantadatta Narasimharaja Wadiyar, holding his private durbar and ascending the golden throne this Dasara, can take some consolation from the fact that a life-size wax statue of the late scion of the royal family is being readied for the Melody Wax Museum in the city.
Bengaluru IT professional and sculptor, Shreeji Bhaskaran is making the life-size statue of Wadiyar, who will be seen seated on the golden throne in full royal attire. If all goes according to plan, the statue sculpted from 150 kg of wax will be unveiled by the late mahajara’s widow, maharani Pramoda Devi at the museum ahead of the Dasara celebrations.
