Will launch another movement:Home minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy

Hyderabad:Home minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy on Tuesday said the TRS government would launch another movement if the Centre goes ahead to empower Governor control of law and order in Hyderabad.

“We will oppose Centre’s decision tooth and nail. There is no question of acceptance of Centre’s directive. Law and order is a state subject and it should be with the state. We will launch another movement if the Centre ignores our objection,” he said.

Mr Narasimha Reddy exuded confidence that Union home minister Rajnath Singh would rescind the order, providing law and order control in Hyderabad to Governor. “Where is the need to hand over the law and order in Hyderabad to Governor? No state in the country has such a rule. Why should be Tela-ngana an exception? We will not allow it,” he asserted.

Asked whether the TRS MPs, ministers would quit in protest if the Centre goes ahead with its decision, he shot back, “Why should we resign? We will fight it out. We will ensure that the Centre withdraws its controversial and uncalled for directive to the state government.”
