There may be a Rs 2.50 cut in petrol prices this August 15

Mumbai: After a price cut in petrol on August 1 by Rs 1.09 per litre, the fuel price may fall further this Independence day. State oil firms are planning to cut the fuel rates by Rs 2.50 per litre, which will be the lowest price of petrol in one year. This would mean, a litre of petrol would now cost about Rs 70.
There may be a higher cut in petrol price if the downward trend in international petrol rates continue and the rupee strengthens against dollar by the Independence day.
