Messenger app enables free calls offered by Facebook

Mumbai: The social media giant is planning to restrict sending messages from its Facebook app. Instead, it will force all Facebook users to download its ‘Messenger’ app on their smartphones.
It is marketing its new Messenger app as ‘free texting from Facebook’, which also enables free calls offered by Facebook. It has already started sending notifications to install the ‘Messenger’ app.
With the Messenger app, you can group chat, shoot videos and snap selfies or other photos right from the app and send them with one tap.You can even turn on location to let people know when you're nearby.
