Hyderabad: Kruthika, the girl who played Venkatesh’s elder daughter in the recently released Drushyam, will now be playing the female lead opposite Gautham, son of Brahmanandam. The film will be directed by Sridhar Seepana and produced by Vamsi Krishna Srinivas of Ra Ra Krishnayya fame.
After the release of Drushyam Kruthika was approached by many filmmakers, but she wanted to sign good projects. “The film is on a hilarious subject and I am playing a bubbly character in the film,” says the actress. She says that she is waiting eagerly for the shooting of this film that will start in September. “My first film got me good acclaim. But as this is my first film as a female lead, I am excited for the shooting to start,” says Kruthika.
She has also signed a Kannada film opposite Dhanunjaya. “The Kannada film is a love story and revolves around a kick-boxer,” she says.
Both her Kannada and Telugu film shootings start one after the other and the actress will be very busy in the coming months.
According to a source, the actress has signed another Telugu film opposite a young actor who has recently delivered a hit film. “I am not in a hurry and I want to take one firm step after another,” says the actress without giving much away.
