TRS members oppose vesting ‘law and order’ special powers with Governor
New Delhi: The Lok Sabha was adjourned for 10 minutes as TRS members opposed vesting certain special powers related to law and order in Hyderabad with Governor.
Earlier, on Sunday, Telangana Chief Minister and TRS president K. Chandrasekhar Rao held a meeting with all the party MPs and asked them to stall Lok Sabha proceedings on the issue.

“Mr Rao informed us that he had already talked to Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee seeking their support against the Centre’s move to grant special powers to the Governor and they have also agreed to support our cause,” said TRS floor leader in Lok Sabha A.P. Jitender Reddy after the meeting.
