No hidden agenda in new Telangana state survey, asserts Etela Rajender
Hyderabad: Telangana finance minister Etela Rajender on Sunday said there was no “hidden agenda” behind the Intensive Household Survey being conducted by the TS government from August 19 across the state as is being made out by some rival parties and leaders.
Mr Rajender denied the allegations that the survey was planned to determine the nativity of people residing in Hyderabad.
“We want to plan and implement schemes in such a manner that the benefits reach only the eligible. This is to ensure that bogus beneficiaries are checked and there should not be any misuse of public money on bogus claims, for which we need an authentic data about the social and economic status of every individual in the state. There is no hidden agenda behind this exercise as alleged by some parties and leaders who are trying to create unnecessary confusion in the mind of public,” Mr Rajender said. He was speaking at the 40th Foundation Day Celebrations of ICSI Hyderabad Chapter, here on Sunday.
He made it clear that there would not be any ‘nativity clause’ in the survey as alleged by some parties.
Mr Rajender said that the state will unveil its industrial policy with a single-window clearance system to grant approvals within two weeks.
Pradeep Chandra, special chief secretary said more incentives will be given to women entrepreneurs.
