'Seriously' ill man shifted from Nagaland to Kerala by road
Kochi: A 40-year-old "seriously" ill patient on ventilator support was shifted from Nagaland to a hospital by road, traversing a distance of 3,800 km, and has been responding to treatment, hospital officials said on Monday.

Head of Amrita Hospital Here, where the patient was shifted, said.
The relatives of the patient requested the hospital to transfer him to Kochi.
An airbus ambulance with all facilities of ICU, left for Dimapur on August 5 with antibiotics, IV fluids, and returned yesterday.
The patient was on ventilator when he was shifted and will continue to remain so for at least two weeks, Dr Gireesh said.
