Andhra Pradesh to move Supreme Court over Telangana decisions
A delegation of AP ministers has sought Mr Narasimhan’s intervention
Hyderabad: The AP government is planning to approach the Supreme Court against the “unilateral decisions” being taken by the Telangana state government it alleges are in violation of the AP Reorganisation Act.
The AP government will move the SC if intervention by the Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan and the Centre fails to ensure justice regarding the bifurcation of agriculture and veterinary universities or other issues arising from the bifurcation. Communications advisor to the AP government Parakala Prabhakar said any unilateral action to tinker with these institutions would affect the equality of opportunities for AP students. A delegation of AP ministers has sought Mr Narasimhan’s intervention.
