Update your Windows before August 12 or be left out
Windows 8 users should update their operating system before August 12
Microsoft has released the Windows 8.1 update in April and also mentioned that Windows 8.0 users would have to compulsorily update to the new version for future updates.
Microsoft made is clear that Windows 8.1 would be the next base platform for all future updates and Windows 8.0 will not receive any more updates and patches.
However, Microsoft was unable to deploy the entire Windows 8.1 updates to all in time. This is the reason they changed their deadlines to June 10 for all home users.
Business users were given time toll August 12 because of the large volume of PCs used in organizations.
Those who fail to update to Windows 8.1 will not receive any fresh updates and security patches, making the operating system vulnerable.
