Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Tourism department has decided to launch Hop on Hop off boat services and water taxis for the first time in the country.
The services will be in the backwaters of Kochi and in the Spice Route project of Muziris.
The department has invited young painters to theme brand the boats in a befitting manner. The artist should be a native of Kerala in the age group of 18-45 years as on August 1, 2014. For the three hop on hop off boats and three water taxis in the backwaters of Kochi the painters may post any of their suitable signature paintings in the entry page of www.kerala tourism on or before August 18, 2014.
The posted entries will reviewed by a committee constituted by Kerala Tourism and the selected entries would be used for the theme branding of boats.
