It is estimated that Haseena Parkar owned as many as 150 properties across Mumbai
Mumbai: Haseena Parkar, sister of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim who died last month, owned a vast business empire across Mumbai. Parkar was also reportedly looking after her brother's business interests in Mumbai.

The Mumbai Police has procured the list of developers from a news channel, who are suspected to be in liaison with Parkar for stake holdings or illegal transactions. "We will investigate this matter thoroughly whether Haseena Parkar amassed a huge wealth through illegal means," additional commissioner of police, Krishna Prakash reportedly said to a newschannel.
Marking foray into the crime world following her husband Ismail Parkar's murder in 1991, Parkar's modus operandi involved land grabbing, vacating residential premises and receiving commissions from builders. However, her lawyer defended his client by claiming that she owned no illegal properties.
"If anybody has amassed illegal wealth, will that person gloat about it in public? But according to me, Haseena Parkar owns not a single illegal property," Shyam Keswani, Parkar's counsel reportedly said.
It is estimated that Parkar, also known as Haseena Apa, owned as many as 150 properties the details of which are not to be found in government files. Besides this, she also owns properties in Mumbai's posh localities like Bandra, Andheri, Borivali and Mira Road. It is interesting to know that the Mumbai Police has no clues about Parkar's undeclared assets.
It is revealed that Parkar ran her business with the help of her trusted aide Salim Patel. However, her brother Iqbal Kaskar is said to be lobbying to succeed her.
