AP gov to go to court against Telangana nativity clause
Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh social welfare minister, R. Kishore Babu, has advised Seemandhra people living in Hyderabad and other parts of Telangana state to declare themselves as “locals” in the survey being taken up by the Telangana government on August 19.
“If you have completed four years’ of consecutive education here, declare yourself as belonging to Telangana state, Mr Babu said.
He added, “Your own declaration will make you a non-local in Telangana, and because you will not have completed four years of education in AP, you will become a non-local there as well.” Mr Babu said the AP government will go to court against this clause depending upon the legal opinion.
