Victim didn’t tell husband about the rape incident
Hyderabad: A Registered Medical Practitioner allegedly raped and impregnated a teenager in Mittakodur village of Pargi in Ranga Reddy. The victim who approached him with a stomach ache, was served tea laced with sedatives and raped. Though the incident occurred two months ago, it came to light recently after the victim got married and it was found that she was pregnant. A case was registered against the RMP.
Cops said Narender, an RMP doctor, raped a 17-year-old girl who came to him for treating stomach ache, more than once.
After the incident, he administered saline to the victim at her house a couple of times. Recently, the victim had again complained of stomach pain and she went to his clinic where he raped her again.
On the pretext of administering saline to her, he asked the victim’s mother to leave her for the night and return the next day. “After the victim’s mother left, he served her tea laced with sedatives and raped her. She confronted him later but he threatened her with dire consequences,” said S.K Shamshuddin, SI, Pargi.
The incident came to light after the victim’s marriage on July 22. She had not told her husband of the rape. A few days into the marriage, when she complained of illness, she was taken to a doctor who confirmed her pregnancy.
A case was registered and a manhunt to nab the accused is on.
