Hyderabad: In a gruesome incident, a man allegedly killed his wife by bashing her head with a dumb-bell in their house at Goutham Nagar in Patancheru of Medak district. The victim, Anitha, 29, had frequent fights with her husband Bikshapathi, 32, who suspected her fidelity. Though elders intervened and worked out a compromise, Bikshapathi continued the harassment. Following a heated argument, he grabbed a dumb-bell and attacked her. She sustained grave injuries and died.
Bikshapathi, a driver and Anitha had been married for about 12 years and have three children. The couple earlier lived in Dilsukhnagar.
The couple was happy to begin with. However, with time certain issues kept coming up and Bikshapathi started suspecting Anitha. He picked up arguments over petty issues and allegedly beat her, said the police.
Cops booked a murder case and have started investigation. The victim’s body was shifted to the Sangareddy Government Hospital and later handed over to the family.
