Mumbai:Rishina Kandhari is getting strong reactions for her portrayal of a lesbian in the Amitabh Bachchan show Yudh. The actress, who is seen in Uttaran as well, said that she’s been inundated with messages on social media, asking if she is attracted to the same sex in real life just like her character in Yudh, Kavita.
“I’ve got all sorts of messages, some of them asking for my number, what my relationship with Mona is like in real life (Rishina’s co-star Mona Vasu in Yudh), whether I’ve been in a relationship with a woman etc,” Rishina says, with a laugh.
The actress feels that as understanding of different kinds of relationships has evolved in the country, such portrayals will be accepted on the small screen. “With time, we’ve become a lot more advanced in our thinking and more aware of different relationships,” she says.
