Juhi Chawla upset with the makers of 'The Hundred-Foot Journey'
Mumbai: Although it is not known to many, Juhi Chawla made a small guest appearance in the Hollywood film ‘The Hundred-Foot Journey’ which stars Om Puri in one of the lead roles.
The actress gave the film’s promotional events a miss, as she was upset about the way her character was treated.
Juhi played a small role in the Stephen Spielberg-Oprah Winfrey co-produced film as the lead’s mother. What upset her was that the makers digitally altered her look to make her look much older than her actual age, without her knowledge.
The actress said, "It is not that I am not happy. It was just two scenes and it has remained two scenes only. I was surprised that they had to use special effects to make me look the way they wanted... so I was like (surprised), I was not told this will happen."
After editing the film, the actress just had one scene in the entire film, though initial reports stated that Juhi would have a number of scenes in the film.
The film released today in India. Watch the film’s trailer here:
