Hyderabad: The plan of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao to highlight the history and cultural grandeur of Telangana in the tableaux at the Independence Day celebrations at Golconda fort might not work out.
Officials of the general administration department have told the state government that it will be very difficult to take the huge trucks carrying the tableaux inside the fort as the roads are narrow. The fort is not suitable for the event with uneven roads.
Officials said that it is difficult to get permission from the Archaeological Survey of India for trucks to enter the fort. The Army too objected to levelling the ground for the tableaux, arguing that the site belongs to the defence ministry.
