This film will help in building my career, says Aadi

Actor talks about his upcoming film and how his career hinges on it

Hyderabad: Young actor Aadi is confident that his upcoming film Gaalipatam will be a hit.

“This is a fresh, new subject. It is a reflection of the society and also has a philosophical touch to it,” says Aadi who is playing a character who comes from Vijayawada to Hyderabad.

“I stay with a few bachelors and then fall in love with a girl. It’s all entertainment and fun,” he says.

Kristina and Erica Fernandes are playing the female leads but Aadi says that it is not a love triangle. “My character has two shades and the story will connect with software professionals and the youth. We have attempted something different and bold and with the audiences encouraging new themes, I am confident about this film,” he adds.

“We came up with some scenes where funny incidents take place in a software office. We are trying to portray the existing generation gap between parents and their children in this film,” he says.

About the title Gaalipatam, he says, “Gaalipatam is about people who are ultimately the thread to every society.”

“This film is important for my career and it’s success will also help build my career differently,” he says.

“Like the Bollywood films Cocktail, Band Baaja Baraat and Aashiqui 2, this film is also a love story with a different concept. I can’t play larger than life characters at this age. So I choose these subjects as they suit my age,” adds Aadi.

Talking about his kissing scene with Kristina in the film, he says, “The kissing scene is important for the film, and moreover we showed it in our publicity because we wanted to tell the audience that our film was a bold attempt and to prepare them for the same and not to create some sensation.”

He adds that he is not embarrassed while enacting such scenes as he feels that it is part of his job.

Kristina, a Russian-born actor, is playing the female lead. “She plays a strong character who leads a fast-paced life. In the film, her father is a foreigner and mother is a Telugu,” says Aadi.

About his future projects, he says his film, Rough, is set to release next month and he has also accepted another film to be directed by Madan. “A couple of other projects are also in the pipeline,” he says.
