Youth held for Facebook post on Narendra Modi
Kollam: A youth, stated to be member of the DYFI, was arrested on Tuesday for posting “derogatory” remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi on a social media networking site, police said.
The youth identified as Rajeesh from Allanchery was taken into custody on Monday night, based on a complaint by RSS leaders, and was arrested on Tuesday. He had posted “offensive” statements against Mr Modi on his Facebook page, the complaint stated.
This is the third instance of arrest of youths in Kerala for derogatory remarks against Mr Modi after he became the Prime Minister. Nine students of Sree Krishna College and the principal and some students of a college near Thrissur were arrested in June for carrying unsavoury remarks against Mr Modi in their campus magazines.
