UP Governor Ram Naik takes charge of Rajasthan
New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh Governor Ram Naik and Gujarat Governor Om Prakash Kohli will take additional responsibilities of Rajasthan and Goa respectively as Margaret Alva completed her tenure on Tuesday. A Rashtrapati Bhavan communique said that Mr Naik, Governor of Uttar Pradesh, will discharge the functions of the Governor of Rajasthan, in addition to his own duties, until regular arrangements.
Similarly, Mr Kohli, Governor of Gujarat, will be discharging the functions of the Governor of Goa, in addition to his own duties, until regular arrangements are made, it said. Meanwhile outgoing Rajasthan governor Margaret Alva said that there will be no controversy in her autobiography.
“I have almost completed my biography during my tenure here. Whatever I am writing one thing is sure there will be no controversy in it,” she said in a special interaction with the media on the last day of her governorship. Ms Alva said she not interested in creating sensationalism. “I have worked with an open mind. I don’t want to create sensationalism. I don’t want cheap publicity,” she said.
