Chandrababu Naidu blamed for power woes by Telangana Rashtra Samiti leaders
Hyderabad: Irrigation minister T. Harish Rao, along with MLAs Srinivas Goud, Sampath Kumar, Balaraju, Laxma Reddy, Shashidhar Reddy, Anjaiah, former MP, Dr Manda Jagannadham and others, offered prayers at Alampur Jogulamba and Bala Brahmeshwar temples.
Referring to the RDS scheme, he said the government would raise its height to ensure 15.9 tmc ft of water to Mahbubnagar district. “We will take up modernisation works. If needed, we will post Central forces if someone tries to create trouble,” he said.
On the occasion of Mr Harish Rao’s visit, several TD leaders, including sarpanches, ZPTCs and MPTCs joined the TRS at Shantinagar.
TRS leaders also stepped up attack on Mr Naidu for the state’s power woes.
In Hyderabad, TRS leader Nomula Narasimhaiah accused Mr Naidu of indulging in indiscriminate cuts in power supply to TS from AP power stations.
“Both, Congress and TD leaders are indulging in diabolic games. Mr Naidu’s decision to cancel PPAs indicated his plan to curtail power supply to Telangana state and create anarchy. The Telangana state government is doing everything to ensure power supply to the farm sector,” he said.
