The police have launched a manhunt for the accused CEO, Janardhan Guptha, who went absconding from Monday night for allegedly kissing his female colleague in a lift while they were returning to office after a lunch. The incident happened on July 30 afternoon and according to the police, the petrified techie had reported the matter to the HR department of the company.
However, her complaint was not entertained and the victim was not encouraged to lodge a police complaint. The CEO had made several advances at her, but she managed to dodge them, but on Wednesday last week, the CEO forcefully kissed her while they were in the restaurant lift. HSR Layout police have registered a case under Indian Penal Code section 354-A for sexual harassment against the CEO and IPC section 202 against the HR department in-charge for suppression of evidence.
