New Delhi: A cab driver was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly sexually abusing a 5-year-old girl, studying in a south Delhi school.
The child is a pre-nursery student and was reportedly not going to school for two weeks following complaints of fever. Her parents approached the police on Monday evening after she told them about the abuse.
According to media reports, the police found out that on her way to school, the girl used to be alone with the driver for a 15-minute stretch and later other students joined her.
Vipin, who was hired to drive the school cab, has been sent to 14 days judicial custody.
This incident came to light a day after Bangalore faced a second case of alleged sexual abuse of a schoolgirl. A 70-year-old teacher was arrested for the alleged abuse of a eight-year-old.
