Hyderabad: It was confirmed that Chiranjeevi’s comeback film, his 150th one, will be launched on August 22. According to a close source, the actor is busy going through different scripts for this film.
Though many expect the film to be a message-oriented one or a historical film, sources reveal that Chiranjeevi wants a regular commercial film with loads of entertainment. The life history of freedom fighter Vuyyalavada Narasimha Reddy was suggested, but it was classified as a risky subject and one that would take a lot of time. So it was dropped. “He felt historic subjects may not work out at this time, so he is opting for an entertainer with a message,” says a close source.
“There are hardly 15 days for the launch of the film, and Chiranjeevi’s schedule has been packed with meetings with several script writers,” says the source.
The other day, a person from Khammam had come with his script. The actor has also asked Paruchuri Brothers, whom he has worked with earlier, for a script.
