Mumbai: Our sources in B-town tell us that after Nargis Fakhri and Uday Chopra headed for Splitsville, the actress is now seeking comfort from heartbreak in a burgeoning friendship with South star Rana Daggubati.
Friends of Nargis had said that the actress felt she wasn’t given the attention that was her due as the special someone in the Chopra scion’s life. Unlike Uday’s sister-in-law Rani Mukherjee, who had YRF projects created for her, Nargis never received similar privileges — which irked her.
Apparently, Nargis met Rana during her recent forays into the South film industry, where there is talk that she may bag a few big banner projects.
We were also told that differences in their career goals had a part to play in the Nargis-Uday split.
“Uday is busy with his Hollywood ventures and Nargis is still establishing herself as an actress. From their ambitions to their schedules, nothing was matching,” our source said.
