Finance department officials said that they need at least 15 days

Hyderabad: AP finance department officials expressed their inability to prepare the state Budget before August 18.
The state government had decided to convene the Assembly Budget session from August 16 and present the state Budget on August 18. However, finance department officials said that they need at least 15 days to prepare the Budget and print it.
The CM had decided to hold a meeting with officials on Saturday to discuss Budget preparation. However, the meeting was postponed to Monday in view of President Pranab Mukherjee’s visit to Hyderabad. Finance minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu completed the Budget review meeting with various departments.
However, finally the CM will decide the allocation of funds to various departments and non plan expenditure. As per the CM’s direction, the finance department will prepare the Budget.
After the meeting with the Chief Minister only 10 days are left for preparation of budget to present on 18th in the assembly. The Finance officials said weather the government has to change the date for presentation of state budget in the assembly or they have to work day and night to prepare the budget in time.
