Mandur garbage is a very important issue. It is good that the Chief Minister visited the place, but the question and problem is what happens after those visits. BBMP has been missing deadline after deadline, but what is being done about that?
Instead of these high-profile visits, the CM should appoint a monitoring committee, but he does not believe in including people from outside. He should create a committee consisting of technical experts from outside. There should a Chief Secretary of the committee who ought to be the decision maker. The committee should visit and meet every month and prepare a report. They should list top 20 projects according to priority and conduct strict monitoring of the ongoing projects.
The problem with this state is that only when there is a fire, then our Ministers take action. Why were no preventive measures taken? Why do we wait for something to happen and then act? Karnataka as a state will not prosper if effective monitoring systems are not put into place and other stakeholders and experts of society are not included in the system.
Besides, there is no coordination and communication between two agencies of the state.
Along with such CM visits, we also want to see a immediate results and the problem solved.
