Kochi: Actor Mukesh’s former wife Saritha has moved Ernakulam Family Court challenging the divorce granted to Mukesh arguing that the divorce was not complete as proper notice was not served on her. She sought a directive to set aside the order and consider the plea as a fresh matter.
The Ernakulam Family Court in June 2012 had issued an ex-parte verdict granting divorce to Mukesh after the notice sent to Saritha returned unclaimed. Saritha in her plea argued that the notice was sent to her Chennai address though she was living in Dubai over the years. She argued that Mukesh misled the court by purposely giving wrong address and the notice was not served on her.
Saritha filed the plea soon after Mukesh’s marriage with dancer Methil Devika. The court had asked them to appear before the court. Pursuant to a court directive, both Mukesh and Saritha appeared before Ernakulam Family Court on Saturday.
