She requested journalists not to ask questions on Shuddhi

Mumbai: Actress Kareena Kapoor is known in the industry as one of those very few who don’t hesitate in calling spade a spade. A recent press conference bore testimony to this fact, yet again.
“During a recent media interaction, Kareena requested them point blank not to ask questions about her involvement or the lack of it in Karan Johar’s Shuddhi,” said a witness. Normally, actors are known to steer clear of such controversies, especially when these are about their exit from a certain project.
“But not one to mince words, Kareena made her discomfort about the topic very clear,” the witness added.
The actress went on to talk about her choice of roles in movies. “I wouldn’t do an author-backed role just for the heck of it. If the subject doesn’t interest me, I won’t take it up, no matter what happens. I am perfectly okay with doing big films that portray me in the right light and also do justice to my image as an actor,” said the actress.
