Aamir Khan's 'PK' poster inspired by Portuguese musician?

The musician, Quim Barreiros' poster dates back to 1973

Mumbai: The recent release of Aamir Khan’s ‘PK’ poster has shocked everyone. It has not only has it created a lot of buzz on the online world, but has also landed into legal trouble (read here). The poster features Aamir in the buff standing on railway tracks with just a record player-cum-radio from the 70’s covering his manhood.

We just happened to find a similar poster. Could director Rajkumar Hirani have been inspired by this? The poster is actually an album art of a famous Portuguese musician Quim Barreiros.

The image you see was used to promote his single ‘Recebi um Convite (à casa da Jóquina)’ in 1973. The track was very successful at that time and is still in the ears of fans of the music of Quim Barreiros.

Is this just sheer coincidence or could the poster have been inspired by this? You decide.
