Ghaziabad: In a daylight robbery incident, two motorcycle-borne robbers looted Rs 9 lakh from the nephew of a BJP municipal corporator at gunpoint here on Saturday.
BJP corporator, Sardar Singh Bhati, said that his nephew Harish Bhati and younger brother Lalit Bhati were returning to their office in a Santro car after withdrawing cash from a bank in Dilshad Colony in Delhi.
Police said that soon as Harish got out of the car in front of his office in Shalimar Garden with a hand bag containing the money, the two robbers pounced upon him and looted the cash at gunpoint. The accused fled away on their Pulsar motorcycle.
