Shah asked partymen to start working for the upcoming Assembly polls and bypolls
New Delhi: Cautioning saffron MPs against any “disconnect” with voters, BJP chief Amit Shah Thursday said party leaders should continue with “Sampark, Samvaad and Samanvay (communication, dialogue and coordination)” with people till the booth level.
In his first address to the MPs at the Parliament’s Central Hall after becoming the BJP chief, Mr Shah asked partymen to start working for the upcoming Assembly polls and bypolls to ensure its victory. He asked MPs to set up offi-ces in their constituencies as well as coordination committees for effective utilisation of MPLADS funds.
BJP vice-president Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi informed the media that Mr Shah told the MPs it was the first time in independent India that a non-Congress government got an absolute majority, and it will be their duty to ensure the party’s victory in their respective states.
The ongoing UPSC exam row was also raised, with MoS personnel Jitendra Singh telling MPs the Prime Minister was taking the issue seriously and it be will be resolved soon.
