Men dress in ape suits to shoo away monkeys from Parliament

A team of dog catchers also visits Parliament to deal with the problem of stray dogs

New Delhi: Forty trained men, dressed as langurs, are chasing away monkeys from the parliament premises, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Venkaiah Naidu said on Thursday.

Reportedly Naidu said in Parliament, “The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) has hired 40 young people for this purpose.”

Naidu further informed that rubber bullets are also being used to tackle the monkey menace.

According to reports, a team of dog catchers also visits Parliament and adjacent areas twice a week to deal with the problem of stray dogs.
