Hyderabad: The notification for Eam-cet counselling, which was issued on Wednesday by the AP State Council for Higher Education (APSCHE), will be reviewed again as the Telangana government has rejected it.
Certification verification might, however, be held on the said dates in AP. APSCHE chairman, Prof. L. Venugopal Reddy, said that the Council would file an implead petition on Friday and take a final decision after the Supreme Court hearing on August 4.
The notification for counselling was issued on Wednesday with certificate verification to begin from August 7. Counselling in TS may not begin at least for another month as the government formed the panel to formulate the guidelines only on Wednesday. “Lakhs of students will apply and it will take a lot of time for the Revenue department to verify the proforma. Counselling can’t be held until then,” a senior official said. Governments have overriding powers over the APSCHE.
