Bengaluru: In a major reshuffle in the police force the State Government on Thursday transferred 30 police officers from DCP onwards. Senior IPS officer K.V. Sharat Chandra, Deputy Inspector General of Police & Joint Commissioner of Police, Law & Order (East) has been transferred as Deputy Inspector General of Police, Training, Bengaluru.
The government has also posted present Deputy Commissioner of police Sandeep Patil from North Division to Central Division in place of B R Ravikanthe Gowda. The new Deputy Commissioner of Police, North division will be T.R. Suresh, who was earlier posted in North-East Division. B R Ravikanthe Gowda will be the new Superintendent of Police, Bijapar District.
B.S. Lokesh Kumar, Superintendent of Police, Dharwad District, has been appointed as the Deputy Commissioner of Police, South Division. Dr. Rohini Katoch Sepat has been appointed as DCP, South East Division, in place of Dr T. D. Pawar, who will be joining as Superintendent of Police, Koppal.
Praveen Sood, who was Additional Director General of Police & Managing Director, Karnataka State Police Housing Corporation Ltd, Bengaluru has been appointed as Additional Director General of Police & Principal Secretary, Home Department (FCAS).
Dr. Rajvir Pratap Sharma who was the Additional Director General of Police, Bangalore Metropolitan Task Force, Bangalore, and Urban Development Department has been appointed as Additional Director General of Police, Railways.
Other officers who have been given new postings in Bangalore are T. Suneel Kumar, ADGP; Directorate of Civil Rights Enforcement is placed in additional charge of the post of Additional Director General of Police, Bangalore Metropolitan Task Force.
Sunil Agarwal, Inspector General of Police, Excise Enforcement is transferred as IGP, Administration (Chief Office). Pratap Reddy, Inspector General of Police & Secretary, Home Department (PCAS) has been transferred as Inspector General of Police, Internal Security Division Operations (ATC).
K. R.amachandra Rao, IGP has been appointed as IGP & Commissioner of Traffic Road Safety, Bangalore. Sri Arun Chakravarthy J, IGP, Forest Cell, is transferred and posted as IGP, Headquarter-I.
