Hyderabad: These days, film actors, especially non-Telugu artistes are getting very diplomatic and are conscious of what they speak. At the audio launch of Sikander on Thursday evening, the film’s lead actress Samantha commented, “The film will definitely do good business in both Andhra and Telangana states.” Usually people say either ‘Andhra’ or ‘Telangana’, but Samantha had taken care not to offend the audiences from both states. The audience, which included Nagarjuna, Rajamouli and other guests laughed at her diplomacy.
“Though most of the artistes and the director belong to Tamil Nadu, they kept the Telugu audience in mind while promoting the film. Suriya sir asked me to speak in Telugu from the day I participated in the shooting of the film. Director Linguswamy too asked me to recreate the dialogue for the Telugu audience,” she says. This bilingual film is releasing on August 15 in both Tamil and Telugu.
