169 lakes encroached in Hyderabad city, says civic body
Hyderabad: The GHMC has identified encroachments in the buffer zone and full tank level (FTL) of 169 lakes in its jurisdiction and will be demolishing all ongoing constructions at these spots.
“All departments involved in marking of water levels, such as irrigation, revenue and the GHMC, will submit a detailed report to the government regarding encroachments in FTLs and further action to be taken,” said the GHMC commissioner Somesh Kumar.
He added that the GHMC was waiting for the legal advice of the advocate-general following which action would be initiated against the ‘N’ Convention management as per court orders.
GHMC was manually maintaining how much PF had been deducted and how much had been credited with interest to the employees’ accounts.
Those who have not received the benefits so far may furnish their details to the concerned medical officers and deputy commissioners at the circles offices so that the accounts can be updated.
