Mumbai: Blame it on Bollywood’s dreary sartorial sense in the ’90s or the actors’ apathy towards their wardrobe choices. Whatever the reason, actresses then didn’t have the fashion edge that the current crop of actresses has. But Madhuri Dixit and Kajol are ready to set right all the faux pas of the past. The two ’90s divas who are busy reading scripts for films, are laying heavy emphasis on their wardrobe choices. Turns out both have asked their respective stylists, designers and make-up artistes to up their glam quotient so they can earn a diva image.
“It’s refreshing to see Kajol take so much interest in the styling process,” says a senior stylist, of the actress who is not quite known for her fashion sense.
Are they trying to compete with Deepika, Kangana and Sonam? Only time will tell.
