Hyderabad airport bus on fire, none hurt
Hyderabad: A Pushpak-Airport liner bus carrying passengers to the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) caught fire at Aaramghar Crossroads in Rajendranagar early on Tuesday. The driver who noticed smoke and alerted the passengers who immediately got out. No one was injured.
According to the police, the bus, which is operated by the Road Transport Corporation (RTC) was on its way to the airport from Secunderabad.
“Around five passengers were travelling in the bus when it caught fire. The driver noticed smoke and fire from the engine and alerted the passengers. The flames engulfed the bus as soon as they got out,” said Mr K. Kanakaiah, investigating officer, Rajendranagar.
The passersby informed the cops and the fire department. A fire tender rushed to the spot and put off the fire. The driver Laxminarayana was alert enough and reacted on time, police said
