Mumbai: Emraan Hashmi was spotted selling tickets of Salman Khan-starrer Kick at a suburban single screen theatre on the weekend.

The actor also took the opportunity to create a buzz about his forthcoming film Mr Natwarlal. During a candid conversation, Emraan admitted that he has a long way to go before gaining the kind of popularity that Salman enjoys.

“Salman’s popularity with women is massive but unfortunately women are scared of me. They fear that I’ll pounce on them. Understandably, my on-screen image precedes me. Thanks to the genre of erotic thrillers that I’ve become synonymous with, most actresses refrain from befriending me. They are uncomfortable in my presence as they feel that I’m always checking them out,” he says.

Has he watched Kick himself? “Unfortunately I haven’t had the chance to watch it. But I do intend to watch it soon,” says Emraan. Since UTV is the producer for both the films, Hashmi hopes that his film will make a good box office opening too, just like Kick.
