Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao to visit Singapore next month
Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao will visit Singapore along with the CMO team to participate in a meeting of the Indian Alumni Association besides studying the industrial policies, new administrative mechanisms and other developments.
Indian Institute of Management Alumni Association Singapore invited Mr Rao and his team to participate in the two-day meet on August 22 and August 23.
Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and other top Singapore leaders besides CEOs of several companies will participate in the programme.
The Chief Minister, who has agreed to attend the meet, will also take his government’s new industrial policy which will be ready by that time to attract investment in the state from Singapore-based international companies, according to a government spokesman.
Mr Rao is the first and the only Chief Minister from India to have been invited by the association. Besides meeting Singapore Prime Minister and his team, Mr Rao will also meet CEOs of various national and international companies based in Singapore.
Mr Rao has promised to bring in a much better industrial policy to the state hence his visit to Singapore assumes significance. He plans to take CMO officials besides officials from industries department among others.
In 1998, N. Chandrababu Naidu, who was the Chief Minister of United AP then, had visited Singapore along with a team of officials and journos to study innovative practices in the country and brought in eSeva, express roads and other new innovations in the state.
