Shooters continue to add more medals to India's account

Glasgow: Indian shutters will target a bronze medal as they face Singapore on day five of the Commonwealth Games 2014 in Glasgow. Along with badminton duels, Indian shooters, boxers and shuttlers will be in action today.

Shooting: 2 more medals for India in shooting! Gold for Jeetu Rai and silver for Gurpal Singh in the 50m pistol men's finals. Jeetu Rai set up a new Commonwealth Games record in the category by firing 194.1m.

India's ace shooter Gagan Narang won silver medal in the men's 50m Rifle event.

The 2012 Olympic bronze medalist, Gagan Narang finished 3rd in 50m rifle prone men's qualification. Mansher Singh and Manavjit Sandhu have qualified for men's trap finals. Mansher shot 50/50 while Sandhu scored 49/50.

Badminton: India lose to Singapore 3-2 and along with it the chance to win bronze. After the Indian pair of Ashwini Ponnappa and Gurusaidutt lost the first game, Parupalli Kashyap won the second game in the 5-match battle for bronze. Kashyap's win has tied the score 1-1 against Singapore.

Then, the duo of Dewalkar and Chopra lost against Chrisnanta and Triyachart as India trail Singapore by 2-1. P V Sindhu kept India's hopes to clinch bronze alive with a win. It is 2-2 now. But with Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponnappa's loss the final match against to Sari and Yao, India could not win the bronze.

Table Tennis: Like India's shutters, Indian paddlers too could not clinch bronze as they lost against Nigeria 3-1. Sharath Kamal has won the first match to give India 1-0 lead. But India lost next three matches and so went their chance to secure a medal.

Squash: Peter Barker of England earned his second consecutive squash singles bronze medal as he beat Sourav Ghosal for the sixth time out of six.
