Forensic confirms Lucknow woman was gangraped
Lucknow DIG had been insisting that woman was not sexually assaulted by accused
Lucknow: The Lucknow police has landed up with egg on its face with the forensic report confirming that the 35-year-old woman whose body was found in Mohanlalganj on July 17, had been gangraped before being murdered.
ADG Sutapa Sanyal and Lucknow DIG Navneet Sikera, who supervised the probe, had been insisting that the woman was not sexually assaulted by the accused. Sources said that ‘multiple profiles’ had been found in the nails and clothes of the victim which indicates that she struggled with more than one person. The police refused to comment on the reports and all senior officers switched off their mobile phones on Sunday, to evade media queries.
