New rules anger Telangana staff, employees plan protest
Hyderabad: Telangana State employees are planning to carry out a series of protests against the guidelines issued by the Kamalnathan Committee on the distribution of state staff for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
They said they will not hesitate to launch another movement if injustice is meted to them in the allotment of employee to Telangana. The employees are basically opposing the nativity norms issued by the committee.
Some employee associations are pitching for going on an indefinite strike against the withdrawal of nativity norms by taking the place of schooling as the criterion to determine nativity instead of the place of birth. They demanded inquiry into the service records of Seemandhra employees alleging that most of them had manipulated their school records to claim nativity here.
TS employee associations met here on Saturday to decide the future course of action. They took objection to the handing over of the entire employee distribution process to officials working for the AP government and demanded representation in the allotment process.
